On October 28, 2021, the sixth meeting of the Industrial and Information Industry Sub Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Sub Committee") of the China Pakistan High Commission was held via video. Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Wang Zhijun and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Innovation of Brazil Paul Owen jointly chaired the meeting.

Wang Zhijun pointed out that China and Brazil are important representatives of developing countries and emerging market countries. The two sides should promote mutual learning and learning, expand the foundation of industrial cooperation, expand cooperation in new technologies and formats such as clean energy, 5G, digital economy, and artificial intelligence, and promote stable and practical industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Owen highly praised the positive progress made by the sub committee, stating that the industrial cooperation between the two sides has a good foundation and broad prospects, and should be promoted to a new level.

At the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged views on topics such as industrial development planning, new energy vehicles, Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, industrial response to climate change, digital technology to combat the epidemic, radio spectrum management, artificial intelligence, and network security.

Representatives from the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology Innovation, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Communications, and relevant department heads of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting.
