In order to accelerate the construction of industrial green microgrids, optimize the structure of industrial energy use and cultivate the new momentum for green development, and help realize the goal of “carbon peak” and “carbon neutrality”, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched the collection of typical application scenarios and cases of industrial green microgrids, and carried out an online live broadcasting on August 30th 2023 to introduce the requirements of the work and share the excellent cases. More than 1,500 people from local industry and information technology departments, central enterprises, industry associations, as well as industrial enterprises, industrial parks, system solution providers, etc. participated in the event.

During the event, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization introduced the considerations and background of accelerating the construction of industrial green microgrids and carrying out the collection of typical application scenarios and cases; China International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. introduced the basic definitions of industrial green microgrids and its declaration requirements and explained the quantitative indexes and requirements of the large-scale utilization of renewable energy, the highly efficient and complementary utilization of multi-energy, the development and utilization of new types of energy storage and hydrogen, etc.; Representatives from industrial enterprises, industrial parks and industrial green microgrid system shared relevant project construction experience and effectiveness. Afterwards, we carried out exchanges by way of questions on the air, and the experts concerned answered the questions in the declaration process at the first time.

The next step, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization will organize the provincial industry and information technology departments, the relevant central enterprises, and industry associations to carry out the collection in an orderly manner, and the selection and promotion of a number of industrial green microgrid typical application scenarios and cases, to lead the key industries, key areas of industrial energy saving and green low-carbon development.
