On July 5, the 2022 BRICS Forum on Virtual Simulation and Its Application opened in Xiamen online and offline simultaneously. Nine university scholars and professional experts from China, Russia and Spain were invited to give in-depth keynote speeches on such topics as the use of virtual simulation technology in welding, casting, rail vehicles and the international training and competition of virtual simulation. Approximately 122, 000 viewers from 13 countries including BRICS, as well as Singapore, Mauritius, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Lebanon, UAE and Korea watched the forum.

This forum was one of the serial activities under the long-term mechanism of“Grand Lectures on Skills Development and Technological Innovation for OBOR and BRICS Countries”, and one of the brand activities of BRICS Innovation Center in personnel training. In total, since the establishment of the BRICS Innovation Center, there have been 25 activities of personnel training and communication, in which more than 350,000 people from 33 countries were attracted. This forum was co-organized by Skills Development Work Team of BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BRICS Innovation Center, International Alliance of Skills Development for OBOR and BRICS Countries, and the Training Center of Skills Development and Technological Innovation for OBOR and BRICS Countries of CAST.
